Will this remove normal punctuation, numbers, or letters?+

No. The tool only targets emoji-related code points. Standard letters, numbers, punctuation, symbols like @ or #, and your line breaks are preserved.

Does it handle flags, skin tones, and combined emojis?+

Yes. It removes regional-indicator pairs used for flags, skin-tone modifiers, and zero-width-joiner sequences (like 👩‍💻) as a whole, plus the invisible variation selectors that often trail an emoji.

Is my text uploaded anywhere?+

No. All processing happens locally in your browser using JavaScript. Nothing you paste is sent to a server, which makes the tool safe for private and sensitive content.

Why is there extra spacing after removing emojis?+

When an emoji sat between two spaces, removing it can leave a double space. Keep the "Tidy up spacing" option on to collapse those gaps and trim each line; turn it off if you need the original spacing preserved exactly.

Can I undo the removal?+

Your original text stays in the input box, so you can always compare or copy it back. There is no separate undo history, so keep the input if you may need the emojis again.
